Texas artist Kyle Polzin is a master of the still life. In Down Time he assembles items that the working cowboy would use at branding time. He utilizes dramatic lighting, rich warm tones and an intriguing combination of textures to create paintings that have the feel of the Old Masters, but feature contemporary subject matter.
