My main objective in painting is to try and convey the beauty and light God has provided. The outdoor scenes in Texas and other states in our beautiful country are a constant reminder to open my eyes and really look at the beauty that surrounds me.

 

I have studied under some wonderful teachers in workshops - Tom Browning, Margaret Kessler, Bruce Greene, Martin Grelle, Tony Eubanks, George Hallmark, Jim Carson, Sonya Terpening, and others.

 

I have received awards and ribbons in art shows, including the Boren Memorial Artst' Choice Award at the Bosque County Conservatory of Fine Art in Clifton, Texas.

 

I was born in Charleston, West Virginia, but have lived most of my life in Texas.
